The number one was Elizabeth Moon's "The Deed of Paksenarrion", a series that I've had THREE compilations of, the last being a hardcover, and read parts of, if not the whole thing, at least once a year. One of these days, I'm going to get... The original Shannara trilogy The Green Rider series by Kristen Britain The original Black Company trilogy by Glen Cook The Sassinak trilogy by McCaffrey, Moon and Nye just to name a few :) One way or another, I really want a complete set of "Emergence" by David Palmer! Roberts. It follows the adventures of Bingo \Sac\ Grabbings, a rather unremarkable Soddit of Upper Middle Earth. He ventures forth (despite very sore and swollen feet indeed!) alongside Gandef the Coughing Wizard and a band of psoriasis-scratching, who-knows-what's-in-the-pipe-puffing (Welsh) dwarves, as they set out to relieve the haughty dragon Smug of his ill-gotten gold.
